Japan is one of the world's most forested countries, with forests covering two-thirds of its land area.
Many of planted forests are now entering their period of use, and the circular use of forest resources—"cut, use, plant, grow"—can contribute to the sustainable development of the forestry and wood industries and the realization of net-zero by 2050. Replanting cedar and cypress trees with lower-pollen seedlings can also help solve the hay fever problem that plagues us. "Wood Change" aims to foster Japan's forests by understanding the significance of using wood and incorporating wood products into daily life.

The Forestry Agency will exhibit excellent examples of "Wood Change" at the Future Life Village at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, allowing visitors to experience the appeal of Wood.
